Siemens PLC & HMI programming
SQR Power Automation provides Siemens programming and system integration for new machines, existing equipment and controls retrofits. Our experience spans legacy S7-300/S7-400 systems and S7-1200/S7-1500 platforms, with operator interfaces, motion and safety considered as parts of the complete machine.
What we can deliver
- SIMATIC S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLC programming
- SIMATIC STEP 7 and TIA Portal project development and troubleshooting
- SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panels and Unified Comfort Panels; WinCC / WinCC Unified development
- Siemens servo and VFD configuration, gearing, coordinated motion and cam profiles
- Safety PLC programming, PROFIsafe and supported drive safety functions
- PROFINET, PROFIBUS and Modbus TCP integration; commissioning and site support
HOW IT COMES TOGETHER
From the PLC to the complete Siemens system.
Machine programming
Develop clear sequences, operator controls and diagnostics around the production process.
Motion and safety
Connect servo and VFD behaviour with axis coordination, operating modes and defined safety functions.
Integration and support
Bring robots, vision and other devices into the control sequence, then commission and troubleshoot the complete system.
PLATFORMS & SCOPE
Built around
your equipment.
HMI work includes SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panels and Unified Comfort Panels, with the appropriate WinCC or WinCC Unified engineering environment. Work can include sequence design, operating modes, alarms, diagnostics, communication mapping and fault recovery. Before modifying a system, we review the controller and firmware, engineering software, licences, available source project and connected equipment. For migrations, the scope addresses hardware compatibility, interfaces, testing and the production changeover. Safety functions and validation responsibilities are defined for the specific machine.
BEFORE WE START
Can you work on legacy Siemens systems and current TIA Portal projects?
Yes. Our experience includes S7-300 and S7-400 as well as S7-1200 and S7-1500, using the engineering environment appropriate to the installed system. Share the controller model, software version and available project files so we can establish the scope.
Do you support projects across Ontario?
Yes. SQR is based in Waterloo and supports projects across Ontario. Site requirements, travel and the delivery schedule are agreed for each engagement.
