SQR Power Automation develops Cognex vision applications and integrates their results with the machine process. The work connects inspection setup, image triggering and job selection with PLC handshakes, operator diagnostics and the response to an inspection result.

Cognex product applications can include In-Sight vision systems for inspection and DataMan readers for barcode identification. The exact model, software, installed options and interface are reviewed before defining the scope. Lighting, presentation, part variation and cycle time guide application testing; no inspection accuracy or read-rate outcome is assumed in advance.

How are Cognex vision and barcode-reading applications different?
Vision applications inspect defined part features. Barcode readers decode identification data. Some devices offer overlapping functions, so we review the actual requirement and selected hardware. Both can exchange results with the machine controls.
Do you support projects across Ontario?
Yes. SQR is based in Waterloo and supports projects across Ontario. Site requirements, travel and the delivery schedule are agreed for each engagement.
